ChocoHog Day

2013 was mostly bitter not a lot of sweet.. This year I wanted to start out with something sweet.. while paying my respect to all things bitter.. hmm.. Tough thing to bring about in the same dish..

So.. I made a stack of three pancakes.. and laid some dark chocolate melts on two of them on the third one though, I put some milk chocolate chocochips.. mmmmmm can't tell you you how good the chocolate explosion was.

I was like a cat high on catnip the whole time.... the thing was so good!!!



At the middle of it all I just had to take a photo of my super messy plate with the chocolate just oozing through... I loved every bite of it.. pure bliss..


I figured most of my photos on the blog are a bit... well... made-up.. I'm looking for a word.. orchestrated.. don't know.. like set-up for a scene.. you know.. a bit premeditated.. not so spontaneoud posed.. damn what am I going on about.. its just bags... there's no such thing as a natural photo for them... or maybe there is.. I make sure I irron them before I take the photo and put them on a white board for a clean background.. so I think you get the picture... But what I figured out was.. I was doing what I think people want to see.. But hey... its my blog.... I should be posting things liek how they are.. not how I think others want them to be.. pretense effs up things bigtime... a failed marriage should teach me that...

Hence.... the messy plate photo. I loved it. and had to share it with you... if it grosses you out... uh.. don't look...

and like a wise man once said to me.. "Good food should make a mess".
