I just made a couple of batches of donuts in the Kambrook donut maker I'd gotten at a sale eons ago and never used (maybe because it didn't come with e recipe booklet or maybe because I was jsut plain lazy.. ). Now that I'm moving to a new city and am going to discard most of the chunky big stuff I figured it would be nice for the donut maker to be used at least once.. It'd be a shame if he was recycled a virgin.. The recipe book has its basic plain donuts recipe that makes 4 batches of 6 donuts (24).. But I thought what am I going to do with 24 of them! so I reduced the quantity by half to make 12 of them instead.

The top recipe in black is the recipe as is from the manual that uses plain flour.. and the one in purple is my adapted version of it that makes half as much and doesn't use eggs or butter.
The First batch I made was a bit over stuffed (I put too much dough in the molds).. The next batch turned out alright.. I thought that plain donuts would be to plain so I had some dark chocolate melted to glaze them with.. I was going to decorate them with the those silver and colored little sugar thingies.. but they were almost finished before I had the chance to open those packs.. The second batch in the photo below turned out alright.. I even tried Chocolate Filigree on a couple of them. Oh and if you're wondering where's no. 12, I ate him.. he had my.. well my Bunny's name written on it.. but since he isn't here....
