Foldable Grocery Bag

I wanted to make some fabric bags that aren't as bulky as the store bought dollar bags for a while. After I made the Phoebe Bag that I've been toting around everywhere I had no excuse to procrastinate making one. I had some pretty synthetic fabric that's super light weight but holds up pretty well. Its 39" wide and I hate wasting cloth so I figured I'd just make a bag that's 19" wide and a few inches taller. I had an idea that it would make a big bag but when I completed sewing it and put it on my shoulder, it just seems ginormous! almost like I can hide behind it with no clothes or something.. I think the color is a bit too gaudy but I love it nonetheless.

The pocket is from the same material as the lining and the pocket's what it gets folded into.. nice and handy. The bag is reversible, so the inner slightly more solid but still voilet can be used by my man.. ;)

I was going to make a few of these but a. I can only fit one of these in the mini Phoebe Bag and b. This is so big I guess it's all I'm going to need (I may need larger if I let myself off leash while shopping but I guess that the super big bag all filled up will also be a good reminder to stop shopping). All in all, I'm lovin' it! Oh that thing.. I'm lovin' it.. its at the end of the movie, The secret life of Walter Mitty.. Mitty: Do you know what our company's motto is? Beard guy: Life.... I'm lovin' it! Mitty: No, that's McDonalds. ...and then some inspirational speech by Mitty but I think I"m going to crack up everytime I remember this dialogue. Sort of spoiled my bottomline about the bag.. but who cares.. its my blog.. I can end it the way I want to.. and I'm Looovvvvin' it.
