Zippered Pouch

Lately I've been trying to do at least 5 minutes of something artsy each day and surfing the web for patterns does not count as 'doing' it.. nor does 'thinking' of the stuff I'd be sewing so I think I"d be posting a little bit more often...

The grocery tote I sewed has long handles that leaves little leftover scraps from the middle that are just enough to make this little lined zippered pouch which measures 7" x 7.5". I never really liked making bags like that because of the scraps it leaves.. And even with the tiniest of scraps like the ones you get from cutting the neckline of a top, I feel like improvising something out of it. So here's the bag:

I used the method I'd learned from this tutorial. Right so the tip says to keep the teeth of the Zip towards the lining.. and I did the opposite and didn't realize that until I reread the post again... You definitely want to keep the teeth to the lining side and the side-flaps towards the outside fabric when finishing the pouch. I think I'll be shifting cities yet another time and I can think of a lot of uses I can put this pouch to I'm sure you can too if you sew one... ;)

I personally think its not that great to post about.. I've made quite a few of these.  But I'm posting anyway... because 1. I've got nothing to do... hence why the bag came into existence in the first place.. and 2... can't really think of another reason..
