The cozy made from a decorative thread I bought on a whim and thought I'd use it for some cording when I decide to test the cording foot I bought over 4 years ago :D you cant's really see the shiny strand in the thread but I can :D and its quite prickly. I thought I'd do a test bracelet crocheted cozy using some stiff plastic piping wire I had. I did a double round of it and wanted to cello tape the ends together so it won't be all over the place... I didn't have a tape at home.. so thought I'd sew on a piece of bias binding to stop the ends from moving. It obviously didn't work, the wire seems to have a mind of its own and I ended up cutting the bias binding tape off and just let the ends hang loose inside of the single crocehted first round. Well.. if the bias binding couldn't keep it, the crochet never stood a chance.. all I can say is that I now have an adjustable bracelet whose ends move however and whenever they want. Since this was a test piece I got a bit frustrated after three rows of double crochet and decided to do the next rows with treble crochet but the needle was so small that it didn't really make a lot of difference. I am convinced as I always am after any crocheting endeavor that this art is just not for the impatient me. Anyhow.. here it is:

This is my first real crocheted thing, a scarf that's about 5 feet tall:
I will post the photo of a crocheted shopping bag that I made later but the bag is what made me completely make my mind to give up crocheting and buy a sewing machine :D It took me 2 complete days to finish a small bag that I would have sewn in like 2 hours!
