I'm a total newbie knitter.. I still skip a lot of stitches and all.. so to give out a pattern for the bag doesn't quite seem right.. but here's what I did anyway..
Cast on 24
Row 1 - knit till end (24 sts)
Row 2 - purl till end (24 sts)
Row 3-30 - alternative rows of knit and purl
Row 31 - cast off 6sts knit till the end of row (you should have 18 stitches on the knitting needle)
Row 32 - cast off 6 stitches and purl to the end of row (you should have 12 stitches on the knitting needle)
Row 33 - 43 alternate rows of knit and purl 12sts
Row 44 - purl 12 and Cast on 6
Row 45 - knit 18 and cast on 6 (now there should be 24 sts on the needle)
Rows 46-75 - alternative rows of knit and purl (24sts)
Tada... And your milk bag's done.. Sewing it how you'd basically sew a bag like when you're squaring off the corners for boxy bag bottoms just like when sewing.. Its a bit complicated to explain.. if you really end up doing one and get to the sewing part and can't figure it out, just holler and I'll try to come up with photos of how to do that ;)
The handles are crocheted on using a 9mm crochet hook... basically just single crochet a couple of rounds for the top and chain 24 and HDC back for the handles.
The Bag measures 27 x 10.5 x 10.5 exactly the size of a 2Lt milk bottle. I made it with a 9mm knitting needle.

I had read about 'Jelly Yarn' somewhere and saw photos of cute sea creatures done with it.. I had no idea what it looked like up close or felt like so I bought these skeins of thingies called polystrings from a thrift shop. I used a full skein of the yellow one (50gms) and needed just a little of the yellow yarn.
